Based on your recommendation, we’re introducing an LGBT-themed conference! Due to the lack of adequate legislation and proper understanding regarding the LGBTQ+ community, its members find themselves discriminated against in the workplace, at school, in religion, and even in hospitals. Many are disowned by their own families, and even abused, tortured, and killed. In 77 countries, discriminatory laws criminalize private, consensual LGBTQ+ relationships – exposing individuals to the risk of arrest, prosecution, imprisonment — even, in at least five countries, the death penalty. This committee is going to further explore this dilemma and propose relevant resolutions which may improve the situation of millions of people worldwide.
